Explore Lake Nakuru safari takes you to Lake Nakuru national park. On the floor of the Great Rift Valley, surrounded by wooded and bushy grassland, lies the beautiful Lake Nakuru National Park. You shall enjoy the wide ecological diversity and varied habitats that range from Lake Nakuru itself to the surrounding escarpment and picturesque ridges hosting some endangered but beautiful species. The Park is ideal for bird watching, picnic and game drives. You’re sure to see rare Rothschild’s Giraffe along with white rhinos, especially along the lakeshore.
Total Duration: 10 – 11 hours
Depart Nairobi at 5:00 AM and arrive in Nanyuki town at 8 AM. You will stopover shortly for a
view of The Equator crossing. There is a large sign for phot capturing marking your crossing of
the equator. After this, continue for another 15 minutes to reach the gate.
Your first game drive will begin and last for two hours, taking you to see chimpanzees and other
wildlife on the northern side of the expansive conservancy. You will arrive at Serena
Sweetwaters Lodge by 12PM. Here, you can observe animals visiting the watering hole in front
of the lodge while enjoying photos of the resident monkeys. After lunch, the afternoon game
drive starts at 2:00 PM.
You will head to the eastern side of the park, where you can visit Baraka, the blind rhino, and
see the three Northern white rhinos in their spacious enclosure. The game drive ends at 4:00
PM, and you’ll begin the drive back to Nairobi, arriving around 7:00 PM, where you’ll be
dropped off at your hotel or the airport at no extra charge.
