Day to Day Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi - Amboseli
Your 6-day Kenya and Tanzania safari begins with an early morning departure from Nairobi, traveling south to Amboseli National Park, one of Kenya’s most iconic wildlife destinations. Upon arrival, check in at your safari lodge or tented camp and enjoy lunch before heading out on an afternoon game drive. Amboseli is famous for its large elephant herds, open plains, and breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Wildlife sightings may include lions, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, and a wide variety of birdlife. Dinner and overnight are at your lodge in Amboseli.
Days 2: Full Day of Wildlife Exploration
Spend a full day exploring Amboseli National Park with morning and afternoon game drives. The park’s swamps and grasslands attract abundant wildlife, while the snow-capped peak of Mount Kilimanjaro provides a dramatic backdrop for photography. Between game drives, relax at the lodge and enjoy the serene surroundings. Dinner and overnight are spent in Amboseli, immersed in the sights and sounds of the African wilderness.
Day 3: Amboseli - Mount Kilimanjaro
After breakfast, depart Amboseli and cross the border into Tanzania, continuing to Mount Kilimanjaro National Park. Upon arrival, enjoy lunch before embarking on guided nature walks or sightseeing excursions within the lower slopes of Africa’s highest mountain. Day 4: Mount Kilimanjaro National Park
Spend the day exploring Mount Kilimanjaro National Park and its surrounding areas. Activities may include forest walks, waterfalls visits, bird watching, and optional cultural experiences with nearby communities. Day 5: Mount Kilimanjaro - Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, travel toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, arriving in time for lunch. Later, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for an afternoon game drive. Often referred to as Africa’s “Garden of Eden,” the crater is home to an extraordinary concentration of wildlife, including lions, elephants, rhinos, buffaloes, and flamingos. Dinner and overnight are at your lodge on the crater rim or nearby.
Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater
Enjoy an early morning game drive in the Ngorongoro Crater, when wildlife is most active and the light is ideal for photography. After breakfast, begin your onward journey to Arusha or connect to your return flight, marking the end of your unforgettable 6-day Kenya and Tanzania safari.
