Day to Day Itinerary
Day 1: Arusha - Tarangire
Your 6-day Kenya and Tanzania safari begins with a morning departure from Arusha to Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania’s most underrated wildlife destinations. Upon arrival, enjoy lunch at your safari lodge or tented camp before heading out on an afternoon game drive. Tarangire is famous for its vast elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, and seasonal river that attracts a wide variety of wildlife, including lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and numerous bird species. Dinner and overnight are spent in the heart of the park.
Days 2: Tarangire National Park
Spend a full day exploring Tarangire National Park with morning and afternoon game drives. The park’s diverse landscapes and rich ecosystems provide excellent opportunities for wildlife viewing and photography. Between game drives, relax at your lodge and take in the peaceful surroundings of this less-crowded safari gem. Dinner and overnight are at your lodge or camp in Tarangire.
Day 3: Tarangire - Lake Manyara
After breakfast, depart Tarangire and travel through the Great Rift Valley to Lake Manyara National Park. Arrive in time for lunch before embarking on an afternoon game drive. Lake Manyara is known for its lush groundwater forest, open floodplains, flamingos, and famous tree-climbing lions. The park’s compact size and varied habitats offer a rewarding safari experience in a short time. Dinner and overnight are at your lodge near Lake Manyara.
Day 4: Lake Manyara National Park
Enjoy a full day in Lake Manyara National Park with morning and afternoon game drives. Spot elephants, buffaloes, hippos, giraffes, and abundant birdlife along the lake’s shoreline. Between activities, enjoy leisure time at your lodge while taking in panoramic views of the Rift Valley escarpment. Dinner and overnight are near Lake Manyara.
Day 5: Tanzania to Diani Beach
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Kenya’s south coast, arriving at Diani Beach later in the day. Upon arrival, check in to your beachfront resort and spend the afternoon relaxing on powder-white sands or swimming in the warm turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean. Dinner and overnight are at your resort in Diani.
Day 6: Diani Beach
Wake up to ocean views and enjoy a leisurely breakfast at your resort. Spend your final day at leisure, with optional activities such as snorkeling, dhow cruises, spa treatments, or simply relaxing by the beach. Later, transfer to the airport for your onward journey, marking the end of your unforgettable 6-day Kenya and Tanzania safari, combining classic wildlife experiences with tropical coastal relaxation.
