Day to Day Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi - Samburu
Your 6-day Kenya safari adventure begins with an early morning departure from Nairobi, traveling north through changing landscapes toward Samburu National Reserve. Arrive in time for lunch at your safari lodge or tented camp before heading out for an afternoon game drive along the Ewaso Nyiro River. Samburu is famous for its unique northern species, including Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, Beisa oryx, and Somali ostrich, as well as elephants and big cats. As the day ends, return to camp for dinner and an overnight stay surrounded by rugged wilderness.
Days 2: Samburu National Reserve
Spend a full day exploring Samburu National Reserve with morning and afternoon game drives. The riverine habitat attracts a wide variety of wildlife and birdlife, offering excellent photographic opportunities throughout the day. Between game drives, relax at the lodge and enjoy the dramatic scenery and tranquil atmosphere. Dinner and overnight are at your lodge or camp in Samburu.
Day 3: Samburu - Meru National Park
After breakfast, depart Samburu and travel east toward Meru National Park, one of Kenya’s most unspoiled safari destinations. Arrive for lunch before setting out on an afternoon game drive. Meru’s diverse landscapes of rivers, woodlands, and open plains support a rich variety of wildlife, including elephants, lions, leopards, and rare antelope species. Dinner and overnight are at your lodge or tented camp within the park.
Day 4: Meru National Park
Enjoy a full day in Meru National Park with morning and afternoon game drives. The park’s remote setting and low visitor numbers provide a peaceful safari experience, ideal for travelers seeking authenticity and solitude. Between activities, relax at the lodge while taking in the natural beauty that inspired the famous Born Free conservation story. Dinner and overnight are in Meru
Day 5: Meru - Nyali Beach
After breakfast, depart Meru and connect to your journey toward Kenya’s coast. Depending on travel arrangements, this may involve a flight or road transfer. Arrive in Nyali Beach later in the day and check in to your beachfront hotel. Spend the evening relaxing by the ocean, enjoying warm sea breezes and coastal hospitality. Dinner and overnight are in Nyali.
Day 6: Nyali Beach
Wake up to the sounds of the Indian Ocean and enjoy a relaxed breakfast at your hotel. This day is dedicated to leisure, allowing you to unwind on the beach or explore optional coastal activities before transferring to the airport for your onward journey. This marks the end of your memorable 6-day Kenya safari and beach holiday, combining northern wilderness and coastal relaxation.
