Day to Day Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi - Maasai Mara
Your 8-day Kenya safari adventure begins with an early morning departure from Nairobi, traveling to the world-famous Maasai Mara Game Reserve. Upon arrival, check in at your safari lodge or tented camp and enjoy lunch before your first afternoon game drive. The Mara is renowned for its abundant wildlife, including lions, leopards, elephants, cheetahs, zebras, and wildebeest. As the sun sets over the vast savannah, return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay under the African skies.
Days 2: Maasai Mara
Spend a full day exploring the Maasai Mara with morning and afternoon game drives. Witness the rich biodiversity of the reserve as predators roam the plains and herds of herbivores graze across endless landscapes. Midday breaks at the lodge allow for relaxation or optional cultural visits to nearby Maasai villages. Meru offers a peaceful safari experience, with opportunities to spot elephants, lions, leopards, and rare antelope species. Dinner and overnight are at your lodge within the park.
Day 4: Meru National Park
Enjoy a full day of game drives in Meru National Park. The park’s remote and scenic environment provides an authentic safari experience, ideal for wildlife photography and bird watching. Between drives, relax at your lodge and take in the natural surroundings that inspired the famous Born Free conservation story. Dinner and overnight are at your lodge in Meru.
Day 5: Meru - Ol Pejeta Conservancy
After breakfast, depart for Ol Pejeta Conservancy, located at the foot of Mount Kenya. Arrive in time for lunch before setting out on an afternoon game drive. Ol Pejeta is renowned for rhino conservation and is home to both black and white rhinos, along with lions, elephants, and the rare northern white rhinos. The conservancy also hosts chimpanzees at the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary. Dinner and overnight are at your lodge or camp within Ol Pejeta.
Day 6: Ol Pejeta Conservancy
Spend the day exploring Ol Pejeta with morning and afternoon game drives. The conservancy’s rich wildlife and conservation initiatives provide unique safari experiences, from rhino tracking to spotting predators and herbivores in their natural habitats. Between drives, enjoy lodge amenities and the serene environment. Dinner and overnight are in Ol Pejeta.
Day 7: Ol Pejeta - Mombasa
After breakfast, depart Ol Pejeta and travel to Mombasa, Kenya’s iconic coastal city. Arrive at your beachfront hotel in time for lunch and spend the afternoon unwinding by the Indian Ocean. Relax on pristine white sands, swim in turquoise waters, or enjoy optional water sports and cultural excursions. Dinner and overnight are at your Mombasa beach resort.
Day 8: Mombasa and Departure
Wake up to the gentle sounds of the ocean and enjoy a leisurely breakfast at your resort. Spend your final morning at leisure, exploring the beach or partaking in optional coastal activities. Later, transfer to the airport for your onward journey, marking the end of your unforgettable 8-day Kenya safari circuit, which combines iconic wildlife encounters with tropical coastal relaxation.
