Day to Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Ruaha National Park

Your 8-day Kenya and Tanzania safari begins with a flight to Ruaha National Park, Tanzania’s largest and most unspoiled wildlife reserve. Upon arrival, transfer to your safari lodge or tented camp and enjoy lunch before heading out on an afternoon game drive. Ruaha is known for its dramatic landscapes, baobab-studded plains, and large populations of elephants, lions, and antelope species. As the sun sets over the Great Ruaha River, return to camp for dinner and an overnight stay in this remote wilderness.

Days 2: Ruaha National Park

Spend a full day exploring Ruaha National Park with morning and afternoon game drives. Day 4: Serengeti National Park

Day 5: Serengeti - Amboseli National Park

After breakfast, depart the Serengeti and cross into Kenya, continuing to Amboseli National Park, located at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro. Arrive later in the day, check in to your lodge or camp, and enjoy dinner as you take in the iconic mountain views. Overnight is spent in Amboseli, surrounded by open plains and wildlife-rich wetlands.

Day 6: Amboseli National Park

Spend a full day in Amboseli National Park with morning and afternoon game drives. Amboseli is renowned for its large elephant herds and excellent photographic opportunities, with Mount Kilimanjaro often visible in the background. Wildlife sightings may include lions, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, and numerous bird species. Dinner and overnight are at your lodge or tented camp in Amboseli.

Day 7: Amboseli - Tsavo East

After breakfast, depart Amboseli and travel to Tsavo East National Park, one of Kenya’s largest and oldest wildlife reserves. Arrive for lunch before heading out on an afternoon game drive. Tsavo East is famous for its red-dust elephants, vast open plains, and landmarks such as the Galana River. Dinner and overnight are at your lodge or camp within the park.

Day 8: Tsavo East National Park

Enjoy a final early morning game drive in Tsavo East, when wildlife is most active and the landscape is bathed in soft golden light. After breakfast, begin your onward journey, marking the end of your unforgettable 8-day Kenya and Tanzania safari.
