About Kibira
Kibira is Burundi's great secret, a cool, misty rainforest ridge in the north-west that joins Rwanda's Nyungwe across the border. Tea estates run right to its edge, and inside it hold chimpanzees, L'Hoest's monkeys, black and white colobus and more than 200 bird species.
Trails here are quiet in a way almost nowhere else in East Africa still is.
