About Lake Manyara
Lake Manyara is a compact, remarkably diverse park at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment, a lush groundwater forest opening onto a shallow soda lake that turns pink with flamingos in season.
It is one of the very few parks in Africa where lions habitually climb and rest in the acacia trees, and its birdlife is among the richest on the continent.
