About Murchison Falls

The Victoria Nile squeezes through a seven metre cleft and drops 43 metres in a roar you feel before you see, then spreads into a broad delta thick with hippo, crocodile and shoebill. North of the river, open savanna holds elephant, lion, Rothschild's giraffe and Jackson's hartebeest.

It is Uganda's largest and oldest protected area, and the pairing of a morning game drive with an afternoon launch cruise makes it exceptional value.
