About Nyungwe Forest
Nyungwe is a vast montane rainforest that survived the last ice age, which is why it holds so much that exists nowhere else. Thirteen primate species live here, including chimpanzees and huge super-troops of Angolan colobus, and its 300 bird species include 29 Albertine Rift endemics.
The suspended canopy walkway carries you 70 metres above a ravine and 160 metres across it.

A pre-dawn start in the Uwinka or Cyamudongo sector, following the calls in.
Cross the Igishigishigi trail bridge suspended high above the forest floor.
Track troops of up to 400 Angolan colobus, a spectacle unique to Nyungwe.
