About Rusizi
Rusizi protects the delta where the Rusizi river spills into Lake Tanganyika, a maze of papyrus, palm savanna and open water only half an hour from central Bujumbura.
It is the easiest wildlife morning in the country: hippo pods, big crocodiles, sitatunga in the reeds and a long list of water birds, all before lunch back in the city.
