About Stone Town
Stone Town is the old heart of Zanzibar and one of the great living Swahili cities, a thousand years of Persian, Omani, Indian and African trade compressed into a few square kilometres of coral stone alleys. Behind the carved doors are restored merchant houses, rooftop bars over the harbour, the Old Fort, the House of Wonders and the sober slave market memorial.
We walk it privately with a resident historian, at a pace that lets you stop wherever you want.
